Frolicking

I think there is something deep within all of us that when standing before a green blossoming meadow, longs to act like a child again and go racing through the lush greenness with arms flailing and no concern whatsoever of decorum or social acceptableness. Well today we did just that. (Oct 11)
I mean look at this field...how could we not?!
We visited the Botanical gardens here in Siena and were faced with one such meadow. What else could we do? Throw off our backpacks, throw back our hair, and recklessly take off running of course. Did Janelle slip and fall flat on her bum (twice)? Did we get bitten by numerous mosquitoes? Did our shoes get filled with dirt and other earthly substances? Did our hair get ruffled and our clothes a little bit sweaty? Why yes. Yes to all the above. But did we care? Not in the slightest.
Off we go! wait for it...
And she's down!
Janelle did this...twice. it was fabulous :)
There is something spontaneous, liberating and highly therapeutic about frolicking through a green meadow that is quite indescribable. I would strongly suggest it whenever the opportunity arises.

The Botanical Gardens themselves also happen to be BEAUTIFUL! It was like walking in an exotic fairyland!

We even stopped to make a few wishes.

Guess you can't wish what mine is?!

How about being able to live here forever?
