Good Morning from Roma!
Day 2 (August 29) has been another crazy but fabulous day!
We started off at the Museo della Civilta Romana (Museum of Roman Civilization) to get a nice overview of the development of the city through history. My favorite was a display with a replica of the Column of Trajan broken up into panels so you could read the story in narrative order. Can you say BRILLIANT!

(ok...here I realize that many of you are not Humanities nerds like I am so you probably could care less about all these fabulous works I am seeing but...too bad! I kind of get ridiculously excited about this stuff and feel that if I don't share it with the world I may just burst! Just ask my old roommate Andee...I shared nerdy stuff with her all the time whether or not she cared, or wanted to listen, or even understood what I was blabbering on about. So take a lesson of patience from her or tune out the artsy stuff if you must :) ).
At this museum Libby and I also fell in love with Roman men. Feast your eyes upon the following:
Yummy right?!
We just have yet to find one of those jaw lines, or heads of hair on the streets. We're keeping our eyes open though...trust me ;)
For lunch Libby and I decided to splurge and eat at a charming sidewalk cafe that looked appetizing.
Ok Ok we were flirted with outrageously and convinced to eat but hey...the food was even more delicious then the servers were pleasant to look at!
After lunch we headed to the Colosseum!

Then the group split off to do our own exploring. Katie-Anne, Sharissa and I headed off to Piazza di Spagna to see the Spanish Steps
Walking down the steps...kodak moment eh? ;) |

Piazza di Spagna is also a great place to shop.
Don't panic Mom and Dad... unfortunately for now it's only window shopping. But a girl can dream!
It is an honor to be mentioned in your Italy blog. I love my little Italian nerd bomb :)
